Design Concept
The home is a “dwelling machine” and the kitchen is the heart of this machine. Within this concept we have chosen to focus on the most active and dynamic part of the kitchen – work surface and dish-washing.
The guidelines we followed exemplify modern industrial production technology. The dynamic element of the concept is expressed in the progression of the water, from dish-washing to drying. The movement of the drying elements is an additional part of the concept. The hurried and industrial pace of today’s lifestyle is the reason we decided to dispose of the traditional storage areas for kitchen utensils by incorporating them into the drying space. The drying area was therefore enlarged in order to contain all the utensils in daily use. The disposal of storage units also saves the time required for the intermediate stage of putting the dishes away.
